Three characters, Cross, Fame and Vic bring to life the urban streets. This threesome show how relentless they can be when it comes to obtaining their upper class lifestyles, fulfilling obligations to old friends, and dealing with women. Cross' style and persona is smoother than ice, however even colder when his patience is tested. Fame is that "down for whatever" character who believes he's every women's gift from God. Vic is the wild type who doesn't hesitate in the slightest when given the opportunity to send another body to the morgue, that is, until he strikes it big in the music industry. Then there are three individuals in a South Jersey crime family. Scardino, who has that, "the world is mine" attitude and is in pursuit of Raphael Sabatini who is sent from overseas to fill his fathers' shoes, and Italia, wife of Scardino and lover to Raphael. Given the stature of these two men, the reader is forced to stay guessing as to how this love triangle will unfold. The relationship between these two worlds is the result of a past situation involving Cross and Scardino, which leads to present day dealings. Scardino helps to make Cross and his friends a few of the wealthiest young black men on the east coast, while they in return, rid him of anyone standing in his way. Raphael's order to prevent the rise of Scardino for the well being of the family becomes a personal matter when his feelings for Italia escalate. While mass chaos is going on with everyone else, Vic goes through some of his own with a record company that's out to juice him for everything he can offer, and then buy him, literally! This manuscript can be summed up in one word, "Captivating." Impossible to put it down!
