In writing to the people of Corinth, the Apostle Paul stated that if the Resurrection has not happened, Christianity is futile. Paul's understanding was that the central teaching of the Way, was Christ's Resurrection. Today there is a growing movement to discount the historical legitimacy of the Resurrection narrative in favor of a modernistic interpretation, stripping the Gospel account of any supernatural and salvific power. In this work, Jordan Holmes traces the historical roots of the Resurrection story and finds that the account of Christ's overcoming death is one in which we can reasonably place all of our hope.
