In the summer of 1998, as many times before, Michael decided to take a small vacation at his favorite place on earth, the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hiking the Appalachian Trail to the top of Mt. Lecont contains some of the most beautiful views that God made on Earth. The trail starts as an easy grade, then crosses a few streams, runs along a road, and then begins a steep four- mile climb to Mt. Lecont. This trip would prove different than any other time he hiked the trails. This time what he would see, feel, and discover would change his life... Meanwhile, in the big city, a hard working neurologist who spent all of her life in school and working, decided that she needed a change in her life. A trip to her sister's in Detroit would give her time to rest and decide what to do with her life. All airline reservations to Detroit were booked; so, she decided to drive. An accidental detour through the Blue Ridge Mountains would change her life forever. This is where they both would find their true strength, and find their Final Destiny.
