With the Second Amendment in force and very much guarded, despite the activities of various anti- gun ( anti- constitutional ) groups, one could be forgiven for thinking the US citizen would feel very secure in his belief that he could defend himself anywhere within our borders, that assumption would be wrong. There are a large number of areas in the country, where the right to self- defense does not exist, where carrying a firearm is likely to lead to arrest and imprisonment. The carnage that followed was both horrific and predictable. In fact all mass shootings in the USA with one exception, have occurred in gun free zones. The Government have created target rich environments, where crazed killers like Adam Lanza and James Holmes, can kill with impunity, safe in the knowledge that the authorities have ensured there will be no opposition. Until the situation is changed and legislators are forced start protecting our children, there will be more Sandy Hooks, Aurora's and Columbine's .
