A Widow's Lost Coin

Discontent with her life as a widow, Juliana decides to make a brave New Year's resolution. She is determined to develop a relationship with a male friend. As time passes, she becomes discouraged for none appear into her life. But almost instantaneously, two men become attracted to her. She wonders how this could be. She is an average looking woman in her forties who merely works in a flower shop. As the weeks progress, her involvements become an entanglement which she finds most difficult to resolve. On the one hand, Kit is a handsome surgeon who is a recent widower himself. On the other, she accidently collides (literally) with the intriguing Jeffrey, a pastor of Scottish descent. Each man has baggage, however. Kit is recovering from his wife's recent demise and is wrapped up with the grueling schedule of hospital obligations. Jeffrey, on the other hand, parents 14 foster children and survives on a shoestring. Are these relationships really their pursuits or is she the one who is doing the chasing? She wonders because sometimes they are most attentive and, at other times, distant. She rues the day that she ever made that New Year's resolution but she cannot turn the tide back. Her children are no help with her dilemma and her friends raise their eyebrows at her fearless endeavor to settle the issue. What happened to her desire to only generate a friendship?
