Going To See The Elephant

We all know what happened in the Viet Nam War, either from living during it, serving there, or reading about it. We all know it was a defeat for our forces, and a waste of many young lives and much money. But do we ever stop to think that there are thousands of old vets who are unsatisfied about how the war was mishandled and have been fighting it for forty odd years in their minds? What if all these old men got together and decided to do something about it? What if they traded in their rocking chairs for the discomfort of the jungle once again and attempted to right old wrongs? In this book you meet Bill and his friends and follow them on their late in life adventure. You meet the sultry Grace who steals Bill's heart one moonlit night in Bangkok, and leaves Bill with a choice. The woman of a lifetime, or misadventures in the jungle? Can the old soldier have both? Can he and his friends accomplish their long dreamed of goals, or will things go wrong and everything go bad?
