Life Actually

This book is not a tell-all book with salacious details from

behind the scenes of the NFL. It's merely an opportunity to give a

voice to the many obstacles we have faced over the past eleven

years in the course of dating, becoming engaged, and fi nally,

being married. The story inside these covers purely refl ects what

Desmond and I have experienced

--a relationship that stands

strong and continues to grow in faith, love, and trust every day.

Originally, I started writing in order to release stress from the

hardships of judgments in society, working through my parents'

concerns about the relationship, and learning the meaning of inlaws.

Desmond joined me in telling this story. As you read further,

you will get a glimpse of our journey. You will see how, although we

came from different cultures, we came to realize our core values in

life are very similar.
