Bright Path, Dark Thicket: A Liam Dutra New England Mystery

Liam Dutra's idylls are always temporary. As summer cools into the vivid colors of a Vermont fall, he's teaching history at an ivied prep school, along with running long miles on wooded trails and exploring the blue waters of Lake Champlain. But when brilliant student Jenn Creswell goes missing under suspicious circumstances, Liam cannot ignore the call to help find her. And it turns out that the autumnal woods and ridgelines nearby hold some strange secrets: Ancient druidic stone ruins; a misanthropic and reclusive old Scottish composer; dead bodies old and new--to name a few. This third book in the series finds Dutra delving once again into the intertwined mysteries of past and present at the heart of the landscape he inhabits. Most of all, it finds him facing full-on the tension between darkness and light that is all around him-- and deep inside him...
