Chinook's Spirit

Mitch Gainer has spent the past three decades trying to forget the traumatic childhood and complicated relationships he left behind when he escaped the small mining town of Nugget Valley. He's happily married and working as a psychologist in Cleveland now, and he's finally started to let go. But the stability of his present is disrupted by his past when he receives a letter from his dear friend, Sadie.

In her letter, Sadie asks Mitch to do the one thing he swore he'd never do-return to Nugget Valley. Can he muster up the courage to confront his past and take a journey he never intended to take?

As it answers this question, Chinook's Spirit shows not only where Mitch is going but also where he has been, chronicling what happened in his life between the time he left Nugget Valley and the time he's called back.

Chinook's Spirit is a sequel to author Robert MacGuffie's debut book, Chinook's Farewell, which details what made Mitch leave home in the first place. Though best read in conjunction with the preceding title, Chinook's Spirit is so rich with drama, action, and suspense that its storyline has the power to stand alone.
