The MIMMS is a set of manual procedures by which the effective use of personnel, money, facilities, and materiel as applied to the maintenance of ground equipment is controlled. It is supported by an Automated Information System (AIS) which functions as a stand alone Class I system that interfaces with existing Marine Corps systems and programs. MIMMS and MIMMS/AIS apply to all command levels and maintenance echelons. They provide management visibility to the user level while simultaneously collating maintenance engineering analysis (MEA) information for item management.
