The Fire Within: Victor and Adelaide: Love Poems

The Fire Within is a collection of love poems initially written to chronicle the lives of two young lovers from the same island province of Marinduque. Both have humble beginnings, yet have bright minds, which have helped them to conquer the odds and become successful in their respective careers. Despite 42 years of separation each having lived their own lives with their respective families, their love for each other remains. This book is going to give you a glimpse of their love story: from their first innocent kiss to the first rendezvous on his birthday after 42 years. This will bring you back in time to a period of nostalgia with a lot of what ifs and what could have been. Heartbreak and pain of separation are common threads, which the author believes the readers could relate to fully well. He hopes to inspire others in a similar situation by sharing their love story through poetry, which transcends space and time.
