Lessons Learnt: Poems & Verse

Have you ever personally been touched in some way by domestic violence? Do you know of a friend or relative that has suffered domestic violence? What about your neighbour and what's going on behind their closed doors? You maybe shockingly surprised if you really knew.

Domestic Violence is a community problem and doesn't discriminate between race, culture or socio economic backgrounds. Domestic Violence is everyone's problem and should never be accepted or tolerated.

Putting these words together on paper was not easy for me. It took time to put my thoughts on paper and sometimes the emotions were still too raw so I closed my computer and waited for the strength to continue -- you may or may not feel the emotion behind the words -- you may or may not understand the sentiment behind the words but one thing's for sure after reading this book if you weren't aware of Domestic Violence before you certainly are now.
