Why do we praise God on Sunday and forget about Him the rest of the week? What do we do with our 168 hours a week? Do we have enough time for God? Sometimes it is hard to give Him an hour on Sunday, let alone the time for daily prayer and reading. But if we are to live what we hear, confess, and proclaim on Sunday, then one hour is not enough - 24 hours is not enough. We are not a Sunday Christian and a Wednesday everyday regular person. We do not become a different person with different values and different speech when we go to work for those five days. We do not change our identity as a Christian because the day of the week has changed. Being outside of the church doors does not give us permission to change our actions and words to fit in with or accommodate the rest of the world. If you truly trust in God on Sunday, you will truly trust in God the other six days. What you are on Thursday is what you are on Sunday; God's child, saint and sinner alike, the same and still loved throughout the week.
