The Dominant of this study is: summaries of theories of the social, psychological, theological and quantum sciences, especially concentrating on archetypal field theory and Augustinian spirituality and their connection with Quantum thought, are presented, with a view toward articulating a holistic view of reality and the pressing need to move toward more collaborative ways of being. Our world, its cultures, people and institutions are finding the patriarchal paradigm no longer adequate for our time. In fact, this paradigm is doing great damage to the planet and its people and their creations due to its ethos of domination and control. Gradually a new paradigm is coming to the fore, one that can be called "quantum" because it tries to take all reality into account, and because fundamental to this paradigm are archetypes, which by analogy behave similarly to sub-atomic entities. The contrast between and implications of two different mindsets, Newtonian and Quantum, are also central concerns of this paper. The author has an interest throughout this study in investigating the unseen, the backstage aspects of the material and human drama, which can seem very chaotic. Community is seen as the "strange attractor" which we need to pay special attention to as we seek to do what we can to guide our world toward a more humane paradigm and in the hope that this new way of perceiving will nudge that of patriarchy out of the way. I put forward Augustinian spirituality as the soul of a new paradigm, wherein there is prayer together, a desire to grow together fully as persons, with a willingness to help each other mutually in this task, and with a commitment to the poor and marginated. I am suggesting as fundamental to this paradigm that such a community get familiar with four different sets of archetypes: those of the human psyche (ego, persona, shadow, anima/animus, self), the psychological functions and attitudes (intuition, sensation, thinking, and feeling; introversion, extraversion, perception and judging); those more common archetypes (warrior, scholar, parent and child), and the developmental archetypes (innocent, orphan, warrior, caregiver, seeker, lover, destroyer, creator, ruler, magician, sage and jester). This can be a review of life, using these archetypes as ways to focus. In getting familiar with archetypes, one is deliberately and consciously relating with the unconscious and looking to develop, as far as possible, those archetypes not yet birthed to consciousness. Dreams and dream work are also central to this study. Much of this book has to do with the central importance of grace permeating the human condition and underlying the activity of archetypes, and the importance of admitting with some frequency one's own powerlessness when faced with addictions of various kinds and seemingly insurmountable problems and challenges, including the challenges involved in hoping for a new paradigm.
