Women of City Hall

Based on the author's own secretarial experience, The Women of City Hall follows Jill in her new job as an executive secretary in one West Texas town in the early 1980s. Wearing the many hats required of a secretary is only part of the challenge in an environment rife with corrupt officials, power-hungry coworkers, and overly friendly bosses.

But Jill isn't about to let City Hall have the last word-and she's got a plan. Jill's goal is to get even, and to prove to her boss-and the world-to never underestimate a secretary.

A nine-to-five exposing the underbelly of local government with humor and down-to-earth honesty, this autobiographical novel is a must-read for anyone who's ever worked, or wants to work, in an office environment.
