More Tales from Planet Gumption

The house has plenty of soap and hot water. Dad no longer rations coal. The aimless son is back flush with cash. It's time to fasten seat-belts for More Tales from Planet Gumption and enter England's MAD industrial northwest peninsular where times have changed. Set in the Shipyard town of Gumption, based in the same county that inspired tea and sherry drinkers; famed English poets, comedians Morecambe and Wise and now eminent world renowned psychologist Clarence Nuffield. That enterprising bent, head shrink of Broadwater's Lunatic Asylum, the self-appointed lord and master of all he surveys and where anything goes. On this day that not short of a bob young bugger Doug Warrington will head north behind the wheel of the green marauder, the invincible Armstrong for an intimate meeting with sly, smooth Geraldo Band Solicitors in sleepy rural Ambleside. Simultaneously and only five minutes away at 31 Church Street's only high rise, ex-ballerina Olga/Volga (undercover pensioned off Russian spy) nicknamed enfant terrible is on the run from Interpol. Methodically packs her bags, dressed as a man checks and straps on the Derringer about to vamoose to Scandinavia via Newcastle ASAP. In line with contemporary trends More Tales from Planet Gumption delves into relationship(s) tracked by covert 'Operation Baggage, ' Kendal's M15 facility. Spiced by mysterious deaths at Tarn Manor owned by a Canadian mining mogul and where by association Doug becomes PRIME SUSPECT. Albeit with a direct line to the PM whose last call bristled, "Your activities may have serious ramifications on Britain's economy." Tongue in cheek northern England humor in More Tales from Planet Gumption demands the impossible materialization of Lenin the internationally feared assassin and scourge of Africa to save the day. From the land of kitchen sink dramas and flat caps More Tales from Planet Gumption is fun and highly recommended.
