When Racz (rhymes with jacks) Robley quits yet another career assignment, her teacher, Miss Vega-Cruz, holds her feet to the fire. She can either finish or fail the class. Racz lands on an unusual project - making a documentary called 'The Short Cut.' Now all she needs to do is find $2,700 to begin filming, get her hands on a camera, and hire a film crew -STAT. But at the eleventh hour she has a major blowout with her Assistant Director (her best friend Fisher), finds herself eating time with little footage to show for it and her RENTED equipment is smashed to pieces. Desperate to finish the assignment, Racz takes on a final project that leaves her fighting a brutal deadline and making last minute changes to her project to avoid becoming the most hated girl at Trussville High.
