Wild dogs

Anna was a four year old girl. Her parents were traders who traveled between the towns of Chilie, Twifals and Croston, buying stuff in one town and selling it in the next town. Anna enjoyed being able to travel with her parents. Sometimes they would give Anna a special gift, which she treasured. They had bought a knife carved out of a deer's antler in the town of Twifals. The next day, they were traveling towards the town of Croston, and Anna was asleep in the back of the wagon. Six men on horseback rode up to their wagon. Anna's father stopped the horses, when two of the men pulled out guns. The men dismounted and unhitched the horses from the wagon. "Get down off that wagon," one of the men shouted. Anna's father and mother climbed down from the wagon. The man's shout woke Anna up and she peeked out the back of the wagon. One of the other men saw the slight movement of the sheet. He rode his horse right up next to the wagon, stepping over the board and entering the wagon. He came back out carrying Anna.
