CT scan and MRI are both informative but yet expensive imaging procedures. The patient's experience before, during and after these highly technological imaging procedures are thus unique and diverse in content. Different levels of claustrophobic and anxiety related reactions may be associated with these sophisticated procedures but though inevitable, patients at risk can be identified and managed so as to prevent any mishap and thus achieve the fullest benefit of these advanced imaging modalities. Putting in place measures that would ensure maximum co-operation from patients is therefore paramount to the role of MRI and CT imaging procedures in quality healthcare delivery. A Portfolio of evidence is therefore necessary in enabling the synthesis of enough evidence from the work of others on the same subject matter. With this evidence-led approach, the Portfolio critically evaluates the subject matter in light of current knowledge, personal experiences, and clinical practices, thus providing a deeper interrogation of evidences for a better understanding of the subject matter.
