These missionaries and the many who followed shaped the future of Hawai'i. Their most lasting physical legacy is the many churches they built. Many of these churches are in use today. This book is an illustrated tour of several of the most famous and beautiful missionary churches in West Hawai'i. The large color illustrations are enhanced and modified to remove 20th century artifacts and present the churches as they appeared when new, as if painted by a 19th century artist. Each illustration is accompanied by a brief history of the church.
