Starting to Care: a book of poems

The poems in this collection take readers through my lyrical reflections on many of the events that have touched my life, ranging from topics as commonplace as school to those as scarring as genocide. Drawing from my love of nature, my optimistic personality, my struggles as an Iraqi Muslim girl who calls New Hampshire home, my experiences with war and other tragedies, my connection to God, and more, each poem is written with the hope that I can yield meaning from the events of my life, improving both the world and how we view it.
