Cartoons of Coercion

The United States Constitution that went into effect on March 4, 1789 was not perfect. However, over the next hundred years, the Constitution provided a level of prosperity and well-being that is unequaled in world history. All societies have citizens who consider themselves elite and have the right to acquire power and wealth using the government's monopoly on force. Once the Constitution was adopted, these Aristocrats set out to corrupt it and obtain the wealth and power that they considered their natural right. In the beginning, the Aristocracy's progress was severely limited by the Founding Fathers, who understood and protected the Constitution they created. All too soon, the founding fathers passed into history. Emergency conditions during the Civil War provided these aristocrats with the excuse to corrupt the Constitution. However, once the war ended, the Constitution was restored. However, in 1887, the assault on our constitutional rights achieved its first major victory, with the creation of the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC). The Aristocracy, promising unearned wealth and security to the masses, have succeeded in changing the Constitution. This was accomplished by corrupting the interpretation of the Constitution, not by amending it. The Aristocracy called this a "living Constitution", implying that judges were free to interpret the Constitution as they saw fit. Over the last hundred and 20 years, the meaning and the enforcement of the Constitution has been corrupted to an extent that it would not be recognized by the Founding Fathers. These misinterpretations have systematically increased the power of the government to control and oppress the individual. The Aristocracy uses the Bureaucracy to stifle political dissent. When the Bureaucracy cites you, you are "guilty until proven innocent" in a court of law. Today, we are no better off than the colonists who staged the Boston Tea Party. Using cartoons, "Cartoons of Coercion" seeks to expose, the Aristocracy's success in accumulating power and wealth at the expense of the individual. Because the rate at which the elitist success has advanced, recently, most of the cartoons concern events occurring in the last 10 years.
