I Am Glad

So often, much of family legacy is lost when a grandparent is laid to rest. In today's world, lives are busy and frequently family members live great distances apart. A family vacation or holidays together is great but never enough to really piece together the heritage that a grandparent can provide. Everyone of Faith, has a story to tell. With this in mind, Grandma Gladys decided to write her own story and to inspire others to do the same. The story takes us from a little farm in North Dakota and the primitive conditions that many grandparents lived in just a few decades ago, to new life in California. Along the way, the family was introduced to a Savior who would change everything. However, with the disappointments that come when we put our trust in others, grandma had a huge decision to make: would she follow the path of her peers or would she choose the life that her own mother and father had taken? The book is full of humorous stories around grandma's questionable antics and how the results affected her life. Each chapter ends with a piece of Godly advice. While life has changed dramatically in the last 60 years, we still face the same problems with pride, misplaced goals and shallow commitments.
