Can money buy the memory of a doctor or that of a teacher or the memories of several teachers? It is true for Edmond, a student whose intelligence is weak because his wealth is cleverer than him. He holds several thousands trillions, then several millions quintillions. Money can do everything for him. He made his teacher of Mathematics and Economics his most highly confidential financial Adviser. He made his Art teacher his personal Artist and she draws and paints only for him. His French teacher, Mr. Intelligent, made him his distinguished guest to instruct him and Mr. Intelligent has the secret intention to marry his daughter Claire, intelligent beyond bound, to Lord Edmond. His bodyguards protect him night and day; they do no let him unprotected for a fraction of a second, they stay in the neighbourhood, at hand, ready to protect him! That which is not without trouble for Mr. Intelligent! The police force follows his memory and protects him! The Transfer of Memory in the way of Edmond is a matchless success on all fronts! Rich to the highest degree, money becomes his memory! Everybody puts one's memory at his disposal as if his own memory were at work. Richard, the assistant of Inspector Douglas, thinks it is nonsense, he does not believe in the Transfer of Memory by any means! Flore, a less intelligent pupil, becomes the most intelligent pupil of the class with the Transfer of Memory through double magic, nay, in truth through the stealing of the memory of others by bitter magic! The fact of observing the memory of an old man of eighty in the memory of a young maid scarcely reaching adulthood is striking. The time to restore the memory transferred by magic memory is very difficult. Inspector Douglas and his men arrested Mister Three Ones Four Ones and his associates and the latter forced the former to restore order in the memory of Flore and that of Mr. Savant Junior, the teacher of the English Language, under warning of throwing them in the dungeon if they do not restore order in the memory of the public!
