Mom (and Me)

We were so much closer before the invention of the dishwasher! I'm not sure why, but I felt compelled to write this story. To me Mom was very special. Maybe everyone feels that way about their Mom, but my Mom was physically handicapped and suffered many hardships in her life. I tried to see these events from her perspective so I could learn how she managed to come out on top. I have laughed, cried and been inspired by putting her story on paper and I hope it will touch you as well. The additional benefit of sharing these memories and research with my brother brought new joy to our relationship in spite of the 400 miles that separated us. Perhaps Mom's story will remind you of treasured memories and inspire you to reach out to your family while you still can.
