The past comes back to Matt Joseph, as he takes his first big case, which brings back to mind his old unit that he fought with while in Vietnam. It was called the Vampire Patrol, because of the reputation they got while fighting the war.Now a member of the six man suicide squad, who had died in Denver only five years ago, suddenly turns up, with a deadly potion of vitriol and vengeance. Now, Matt has been called in to solve this mystery, which will bring back memories that he worked long and hard to get rid of and put behind him. This case really gets under his skin when his fiancee' Carole Wineman disappears and never returns. But are things really as they appear? Only time and some great investigative work will tell.
