The Gospel Unleashed: Releasing the Acts 1:8 DNA Of Your Church

I want to invite you through the following pages to take a journey with me. I believe the church has mission-Acts 1:8 missional DNA-at its very core. I believe we can see God release that DNA in any church. Can you imagine what it might be like to truly see the Gospel Unleashed? Although Jesus' Commission to the church is an imperative, my own attitude has become, "I get to be a part of what God is doing in the world. I get to be a part of His incredible Story as it unfolds." God has offered us the humbling privilege to be His ambassadors to a lost world. When we come to the end of the book of Acts, the apostle Paul is under house arrest in Rome. What is amazing is the fact that being under arrest does not hinder the work of carrying the Gospel to the ends of the earth. The very last word in the Greek text is a word that translates, "unhindered." Even as a prisoner of Rome, Paul preached the Gospel of the Kingdom "without hindrance." How easily do we allow our circumstances to hinder our proclamation of the Gospel? Is it possible that some of our greatest hindrance comes from ourselves? Another way to translate the word "unhindered" is "unleashed." In the pages to follow, I want to challenge you to recognize the possibilities of unleashing the Gospel in the context where you serve. We are probably living in the most dynamic and expansive years of the Kingdom of God in all history. God is moving in unprecedented ways among ethnic groups all around the world.
