Simoni's Gift: A Story about Your Purpose in Life

If you have figured out your purpose in life, congratulations! If not, read Simoni's Gift. This little book draws on wisdom from Michelangelo, Socrates, Confucius, and many other great thinkers. In one hour, you can discover a more meaningful way to live. In this visionary novel, Davita discovers that life does not have to end after death. She is greeted in the afterlife by Simoni, who appears to be some sort of angelic afterlife coach. Simoni gives Davita a choice: She can begin a new life or remain forever in death...but she only has one hour to decide. To help make her decision, Davita asks Simoni questions about life. Why are some people so unhappy? Why is it so hard to overcome childhood influences as an adult? Why is life so unfair? Is religion helpful or harmful? Why is it so difficult to decide what we really want? As Simoni reveals the truth about life, Davita realizes that she misspent much of hers. She had tried to control other people's behavior, rather than working to control her own. She had complained about life being unfair, rather than using her circumstances for personal growth. She had lived her life based on the expectations of others, rather than being true to herself. With Simoni's guidance, Davita discovers a better way to live. She learns the purpose of life and the five universal practices that lead to a meaningful life. Just as Davita is ready to make her decision, Simoni announces a startling truth that could change everything...and Davita must make her choice as time runs out.
