Sandy Brown was born in the little village of Bradwell in the Hope Valley, Derbyshire, UK. She had a very happy childhood. Her grandfather was the local blacksmith and her father worked at the local cement works In that area lead used to be mined which had started in the time of the roman occupation, and also" Blue John"which is a mineral used in the making of jewellery. She went to the local church school and Hope Valley College and became a secretary and worked at a variety of places. She was married at 18yrs of age and still is to the same husband. She had a daughter when she was 22yrs old and became a foster carer 41 yrs ago and and now has two grandchildren, retirement is still just a dream at the moment, but may be one day it will happen. Till then it's carry on regardless while children need homes and support and guidance.
