All for the Love of Dog: Buddy's Story

Buddy was rescued from a kill shelter in North Carolina by Delaware County SPCA. They have a program called TAILS that rescues homeless animals from across the US and finds them homes; Buddy became part of that program. He was immediately put into foster care to see how he was with people and other animals. That is when his foster family found out that he was very incontinent. His foster family raised money to have a surgery done for Buddy to correct his problem, unfortunately it was a little more complicated that anyone ever imagined. A few months later, he was ready for adoption to a family that would love him as he was. Two failed adoption attempts later and that is where we came along. I saw Buddy's face and fell in love through a social media site and knew he was meant to be ours. This was all before I knew he was incontinent which I found out after I inquired through the shelter. I was not going to pass him up just because he had a birth defect. The shelter said he was a sweetheart so we packed our other pups in the car and drove two hours to the shelter to meet this sweetheart and that is where Buddy's forever began.
