Pistol Thunder

Life on the Texas frontier isn't easy for anyone, let alone a sixteen-year-old orphaned son of a Comanche princess and a deputy sheriff. Ursa has just buried his father in a grave beside his mother, and he has one thing on his mind: avenging his father's murder.

Ursa sets out on horseback for the town of Crossing. He's looking for Ox, the mysterious man who put his father in the ground. When he gets there, he's taunted for his Indian heritage, but Ursa isn't one to let ignorance deter him. He puts his pistol skills to good use, earns the respect of the sheriff, and makes friends along the way.

Ursa's journey to find Ox and make him pay will take the young boy across Texas and introduce him to a cast of colorful characters: peddlers, shop owners, cunning gunslingers, crooked town bosses, lonely Indians, and rangy dogs. When he finally finds Ox, he'll need more than his considerable shooting prowess to get the revenge he wants. He'll have to call on friends-and reflect on his own growth as a man-to decide what's right.
