He joined the Navy to see the world and his observations and experiences are factually chronicled through letters he wrote home from 1935 to the beginning of 1937. There are no major sea battles taking place in my book, just day to day experiences of a young man in the U.S. Navy during an interesting period of time. A quick and fun read.
