God is One in the Bible, not a Trinity

I grew up in the Seventh-day Adventist Church which, today, is staunchly Trintarian. I was taught to believe that God had guided the founders of that church and that the church was continuing to preach the same message. The moment of crisis came to me when I learned that the Seventh-day Adventist Church had been very Anti-Trinitarian during the lifetime of the church pioneers. The church was heavily criticized by mainstream Christians for leading people away from the Trinity. It did not become Trinitarian until well into the 20th Century. This led me to seriously look at the evidence for and against the Trinity for the first time. Obviously, there are many texts that can be interpreted in a Trinitarian way. I needed to establish if the Trinity was something that could be drawn out of Scripture or if it needed to be read into the texts. I decided to put all of my preconceptions aside and study everything in an objective manner and not accept anything that couldn't be clearly established from Scripture. This book is the result of that study.
