Proposed Gulf of Mexico OCS Oil and Gas Lease Sale 207: Western Planning Area

In preparation for this EA, the U.S. Department of the Interior (USDOI), Minerals Management Service (MMS) reexamined the potential environmental effects of proposed Lease Sale 207 and the alternatives based on any new information regarding potential impacts and issues not available at the time MMS published the Multisale EIS in April 2007. New information was reviewed to determine if any resources should be reevaluated or if the new information would alter conclusions of the Multisale EIS. No new information was found that would necessitate a reanalysis of the impacts of proposed Lease Sale 207 upon any of the environmental or socioeconomic resources.
