Detective Oscar Garcia is a perceptive, gifted hypochondriac. If a case comes up that's out of the ordinary, Inspector Gomez will assign it to him. Gomez doesn't think much of Oscar's lumbering partner Jose, but at least he should keep Oscar out of trouble. The stories in this collection describe Oscar's attempts to resolve the problems of ghosts, parallel universes and the existential conundrums of magical reality as well as straightforward villainy. Revised with the addition of new stories October 2016 Part I (including some stories previously appearing in "The Curious Casebook of Oscar Garcia") concerns the eponymous Madrid detective and his long suffering partner Jose.
