I Minister To Myself, As I Minister To You

Dear Reader, Pause for just a moment if you would, before you proceed with this reading. Take a second to observe your surroundings. What do you see? What do you hear? Is it the activity of your family busy about your home? Is it co-workers conversing amongst themselves, during a welcomed lunch hour? Or is it birds chirp-ing and the rustle of leaves blowing in a tree nearby? Maybe it's still, peaceful, quietness as you've settled yourself to discover just what the contents of this book will disclose. Regardless of what you may have observed taking place, if you would allow me to, I'd like to generalize it for you. What in fact is happening, all around you is...life. Life is always happening around us, all day and every day. When we are asleep, life is happening. When we awake each morning, we wake to life happening. When we are happy and things are working in our favor, life is happening. When we are hurting or facing challenges, life is still happening. It does not matter if we struggle through it or soar through it, life goes on. It goes on with or without us. And so where is God, the Creator of life, in all of this? Did He just set the stage, breathe life into us and abandon us to live life on our own? The answer to the question is, God is here. He and His Word are ever-present. Right here with us as life is happening.
