Prisoners of Space and Time: Our Bondage to a Counterfeit Reality

They have been saying it for millennia now. Those things we suppose count for much truly do not, and those we appreciate less, conversely, matter incalculably. From Plato to Einstein, and countless others in between, we get the same provocative refrain: Mankind is incarcerated in a dimensional prison that stunts his perception and perverts his values. Those contentions have, for the most part, fallen on deaf ears. They seem, perhaps, too abstract and removed from our daily concerns to be given much more than a moment's thought. Yet, as time goes by, something about our world appears increasingly amiss. The more we strive for order, accord, and stability the more things careen out of control. If we, indeed, have a lopsided view of reality, the fallout from it is, day by day, becoming more apparent and alarmingly at hand. The time has clearly come to revisit those compelling exhortations and their unique bearing on our tumultuous world. To do otherwise is, without question, to persist on a downward spiral that can only be calamitous in its ultimate descent. Bridging Plato's and Einstein's perspectives, across more than 2,300 years, generates a synergy between them that is vastly greater than their mere sum. Plato spotlights the second and third dimensions while Einstein brings in a fourth. Together they forge an extraordinary portal ceding us glimpses of the profoundly sentient, expansive, and sublime possibilities lying just beyond man's captive existence. www.divineasymptote.yolasite.com
