Child Of Air (The Windspider Chronicles)

It's the 26th. century and the world is recovering from a war with The Spiders, mechanical constructs designed to replace human soldiers. Earth's population has been decimated, but it shares the leftovers with a selection of beneficent extra-terrestrials who have blessed the survivors with free access to their advanced technology. Can the problems that this solves outweigh the problems that it brings? Whilst the Spider attacks have slowed, they haven't stopped. A fascist global corporation has replaced almost all national governments whilst an active resistance bubbles under the surface. The Lohlephel family watches over the Barony of Rustholme from The Roost, its fortress-keep rooted deep into the cliffs at Dover. Lady Dorleith spends her time as any educated young lady should - Pursuing her dreams of air-piracy and avenging the memory of her father. Her brother, Commander Mal'Ak-hai oversees the Pewter Guard, the well-armed and armoured protectors of The Roost and its inhabitants. Their mother, the Baroness has ultimate control of the general running of Rustholme and the care of its people. And the Baron? Well, he's dead - But he's not the type to let something as trivial as that stop him permanently. Welcome to a new Royal Family for a new Albion in the 26th Century. We hope you enjoy the ride.
