If God was on trial to prove if He was alive or dead and you were on the jury. How would you vote? God turns this around on us in real life. In a way He puts us on trial to see if we are going to believe in Him. He wants to see if we are going to trust in Him. He wants to see if we are going to travel down the path He has set for us. If we will do these things He will give us glory.
