Contrary to belief that the new world order free from super-power rivalry and military tensions will be a peaceful and prosperous one, military conflicts, state-sponsored and individual terrorism, economic disparities, hunger, poverty, unemployment at the one end and concentration of wealth and opulence for a few at the other etc. have been the order of the present day world.
