The Minerals Management Service developed a comprehensive strategy for postalize National Environmental Policy Act compliance for development and production projects in deepwater areas in the Central Planning area and Western Planning Area of the Gulf of Mexico. The strategy led to the development of biologically-based grid system to ensure broad and systematic analysis of the GOM's deepwater region.
