This Novel is set in a fictitious Town on the South West of England The main character is Detective Inspector Neil Shand who is a widowed one-parent family. He is sent to a murdered corpse found on a beach early one Sunday morning. This is no ordinary murder it has the signs of a ritual killing. It's not long before more bodies start to appear in very similar circumstances. Shand turns to all kinds of help in his investigation to try and find the killers even to the point of using a psychic. It becomes clear that several of the local business people in the town are actually the murderers. However, it still is very difficult to prove any connection when it seems someone is one step ahead of Shand at all times.
