Nowadays, regional anesthesia becomes more popular among anesthesiologists, it is preferred as the recent advance, technology used, and the modern analgesic modalities use in anesthesia and analgesia. Regional anesthesia is safer than general anesthesia, allows postoperative analgesia, and short hospital stay, less cost. There is a growing fear from regional anesthesia, the cause of the apprehension from regional anesthesia is the lack of knowledge, lack of preoperative communication between anesthesiologist and patients, or bad history after previous operation was under regional anesthesia. Factors enhance developing of regional anesthesia and analgesia 1.The developing of sonar guided peripheral nerve blockade, 2.Radiographic image enhance good results of regional. 3.New modalities of drug combinations that will decrease the side effects of each drug used alone. 4.Good preoperative preparation will decrease the side effects, and complications. 5.Anesthesiologist role is to answer questions, discuss any concerns patients might have about planned anesthetic care. 6.The patients are well-informed and know what to expect, they will be better prepared and more relaxed. 7.Patients should sense free to talk with his anesthesiologist about options for anesthesia, pain control after surgery, their benefits and their possible side effects
