MacGNOME'S HALLOWEEN NIGHTMARE: Book 2

Standby for exciting, scary action in this the second of the MacGnome series. Again the action has been set in a real geographical setting. Mr Spenser, MacGnome's owner, has died and his relatives sell off his bungalow and auction off all his belongings, including MacGnome. Jamie and Todd try to bid for him but they are outbid by a strange warlock called Ceolwulf from Shropshire, who having recognized MacGnome's special powers, intends to use him in a ceremony at Halloween to rise up thousands of the most evil goblins enabling him to become the most powerful man in the world. At the same time, Jamie and Todd's father's are planning to travel up to Shropshire at Halloween to practice for the Boxing Day run up to the Devil's Chair, on the Stiperstones. As it half term they take Jamie and Todd with them. At the guesthouse the boys befriend Nathan, who lives there. The boys find MacGnome at Ceolwulf's cottage and discover his plans to hold a ceremony on Halloween night at the Devil's Chair. However before they can rescue MacGnome, Ceolwulf returns so they have to make a rapid escape. At midnight on Halloween Ceolwulf places MacGnome on the Devil's Chair and performs the ceremony, raising up thousands of evil goblins that instantly start to attack the boys. But then appears the legendary knight Wild Edric and his men. They snatch up Ceolwulf and take him away screaming with them into their underground imprisonment.
