Itzpapalotl, the Aztec goddess and warrior, haunts the Clutterbuck house. She and her butterflies are cruel creatures that have piercing claws and teeth and dig into the brain. Although they try to protect Clara, the youngest of her family, they cannot fight pure insanity. In Clara's safe, loving, family home, love is used to hide sins and secrets.
