This book is one way of telling the story about Jesus and his extraordinary relationship with the heavenly Father. Dr. Rob has selected the daily Scripture readings from the Bible for the season of Lent that led up to Resurrection Sunday. To them he appended commentaries. In his commentaries he writes about Father Fusion and in particular the Father Fusion of Jesus as he experienced it and brought it to the world's stage so that it became the Gospel of Salvation. All Scripture has many faces to it. Expounding on the Father Fusion of Jesus can develop volumes just from a single Scripture or parable or incident. There are many to choose from. This book is not at all an exhaustive treatise. Father Fusion is Jesus' personal religious experience. We experience Jesus as Lord and Savior-as the Son of God incarnate-and so we should. The other feature within this same Jesus which we experience is that, according to the Father, he was born a baby like any of us and he grew to know the Father and to partner with the Father. He became in God's eyes the ideal human being-the Son of Man as such an ideal person was spoken of by the Jews of his day. It is Jesus the ideal human being who shows us the impeccable fusion of wills he has learned and acquired with the heavenly Father within him.His life and teachings which become the written Gospels are a demonstration of Father Fusion in play. Salvation is not merely our becoming connected to God, or even our passive abiding in God. It is our learned habit of partnering with the Spirit of the Father within us; our exercising of our cooperative and joint wills as a single will in all our significant decisions and projects.
