A different Britain exists in the Nineteen Eighties and Nineties: the Britain of the United People's Front. Within this totalitarian state, persecuted alongside all those loosely categorized asylum seekers by the UPF government, lives talented musician Harpreet Sandhu. At first, Harpreet's music preaches a message of hatred against the British citizens he blames for his people's repression. That is until he meets Malcolm Troman and an unlikely friendship ensues: one in which Harpreet learns that a message of mutual tolerance and respect may prove more fruitful than simply fighting fire with fire.
