Faith In The Lord Jesus Christ: The First Laws And Ordinances Of His Gospel (One Eternal Round)

What think ye of Christ? (Matthew 22:42) is a question that will eventually confront all mankind. In spite of what we may say, the first laws and ordinances of Christ's pure gospel require that we believe true and correct principles and put our faith only in the Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot be "true and faithful" until we are faithful to truth. Yet in a world ruled by unbelief, evil seeks to distort truth and move our faith elsewhere by encouraging us to trust in others or ourselves instead of the Lord. False traditions, convenient reforms, delusional beliefs, apathy, distraction, and ignorance all hinder our journey and leave us in darkness and apostasy. Many believe they have faith, yet its glorious doctrines are often dismissed or overlooked. Because "whatsoever is not of faith is sin" (Romans 14:23), faith matters! As the foundation of all righteousness, saving faith comes from recognizing that we do not need men's reforms, we need to be reformed. The faithful accept the Lord's invitation to draw near to Him and to "come and see" for themselves (John 1:39).
