Kick The Rubble!: A Mark Greene Misadventure'

It is Boston's Time of Troubles. The fabled City upon the Hill is nothing more than historical ruins teetering on rubble. Food can be had, but shelter proves a trial. Some despair and disappear under the Charles; most take to rebuilding the city, and are just emerging from their existential nightmare when lo and behold, a whole new trouble visits itself upon the unfortunate city. Starkwell, the chair of the Chamber of Commerce, is bankrupting every business and institution, so he, a personal fortune at his command, might swoop in as Boston's savior. The good citizens, owing him everything, especially their shelter, would be forever in his debt... forever dependent. Lurking behind and in cahoots with Starkwell is Crotchfelt, the notorious former mayor of Boston, who having taken a tutorial of Middle East barbarism, returns to Boston not to praise the city but to bury it. To make Boston a grave so his dead son, Kilt, might be resurrected. Into this maelstrom, Mark Greene finds shelter in the Church of the Homeless Homeless, and a job as critic of the Church's subversive play, Seeking Shelter. On the evenings when theatre is dark, Simon, the play's author, preaches insurrection. With his new found companions, the Beaten Down Man, the Gray Hair Gent and Grace, his love interest, Mark finds himself front and center in a world of intrigue, bankruptcy, and plain old nihilism. Mark Greene is about to live another misadventure. To live another great misadventure on stage, and off stage alike. Oh yes, NgTo, the author of the above tale, lies murdered. See the appendix for details to help undercover the fiend... and if successful ten percent of the royalties (paperback & Kindle only).
