Systematic Theology For Students

Systematic theology is the careful analysis of the philosophical implications and the doctrinal content of faith as expressed in the creeds, doctrines, and theological writings of the Christian tradition. Constructive dialogue and mutual understanding are intended to foster appreciation of the faith of others as well as one's own. Systematic theology offers a comprehensive, orderly overview of the major doctrines of the Christian faith as a framework for authentic Christian thinking and living. Care is taken to explore the application of theology to contemporary issues of Christian life and ministry. This course examines the significant doctrines and theological issues that are foundational to the Christian church. The purpose is to explore the manner in which God has revealed Himself through His Word and how that revelation impacts the church we well as individual believers. By recognizing common errors in humanistic thought the student is better able to identify faulty thinking and clearly illuminate the truth of a Biblical world view.
